Established for over 40 years, these networks play a pivotal role in the industry, facilitating millions of book orders annually between booksellers and publishers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities – Your role purpose and impact:

  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain and nurture existing client relationships within an established portfolio of accounts.
  • Sales Support: Assist our Sales/Account Managers in identifying new opportunities across our range of commerce solutions and services, including EDI, PubEasy, and TeleOrdering. Build strong client relationships and attend industry/trade events.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as Finance, Marketing, Product Development, and Technical Account Managers to identify new opportunities, achieve upsell targets, and deliver successful outcomes for our clients in a matrix organization.
  • Customer Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between assigned customers and MVB, ensuring excellent service and representation.

What We Particularly Like About You:

UK Work Authorization: You must have permission to work in the UK.

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years in an account executive role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in the publishing, book trade, or media industry would be a strong advantage, allowing you to better understand client needs and industry dynamics.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with systems like SalesForce, Trello, and Mural to streamline account management and collaboration processes.
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfort with technology and an understanding of e-commerce platforms, digital solutions, or other tech-driven services relevant to the book trade.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze client data and trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement, contributing to strategic account management.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated capacity to address client concerns and resolve issues efficiently, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, ensuring all client needs are met in a timely and organized manner.
  • Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a matrix management environment.
  • Self-Motivation and Flexibility: A highly motivated, well-organized self-starter with a "can-do" attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to Learn: Eagerness to develop new skills and gain in-depth knowledge and experience in the dynamic book industry.
