A London-based specialist medical news publisher is in search of an Editor to join their dynamic team. This innovative company not only disseminates medical information but also actively engages with medical communities through a diverse range of platforms, including websites, e-newsletters, live and on-demand digital educational initiatives, printed newspapers, and social media networks. The company also organises and delivers year-round medical education via livestream and on-demand channels, and they regularly attend and organise events and conferences internationally.
The role of the Editor will oversee the entire production cycle for one of their flagship publications, both in print and digital formats, writing relevant news articles, curating e-newsletters, and actively contributing to the development of print publications.
We are seeking candidates with a strong journalistic background who are used to a fast-paced, multi-platform news environment. Ideally, candidates should possess some prior experience in medical news publishing or be able to show an interest in healthcare.
The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated, accustomed to meeting tight deadlines, and able to establish meaningful relationships with key professionals across various medical fields. This role will involve carrying out interviews with these experts at events, both in-person and remotely, so it needs candidates with a personable and warm approach. and happy to travel both in Europe and the USA to attend conferences as necessary. The role will also require some travel to attend conferences and other industry events including within Europe and North America.
