News Editor - Healthcare

We have a highly interesting and varied News Editor role, working for a leading healthcare publisher based in London.  This is an exciting opportunity to take a role where you will shape the news of four market-leading healthcare magazines.

The News Editor will be responsible for managing a small team of reporters to deliver the best news stories, news analysis and blogs for the publications’ websites serving community healthcare professionals and daily newsletters. There will be bags of scope to edit news stories daily and help reporters deliver exclusive investigations whilst working on new projects, such as roundtables, podcasts, and social media campaigns.  Our client is offering a working arrangement of 2 days in the office or remote.

The News Editor will work with the Group Editor to set the editorial direction for all four publications as well as working within the wider editorial team.

The successful person will have demonstrable experience from a journalism background, with experience of editing news articles and a track record of delivering exclusives and delivering investigations and/or campaigns, and possess excellent editing and writing skills. Experience of managing a reporter would be a bonus. You will have a background in either trade or health journalism.
