UK Sales Key Account Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented, established publishing salesperson to join Nosy Crow working on their fast-growing, award-winning children’s list.  The successful candidate will join our UK Sales team on a full-time basis, working from our London Bridge office.

Purpose of the Job:

This is a new role within our UK sales team and the successful candidate will report to the Senior Sales Manager and work across a range of key accounts.  The department manages all online, special, and supermarket sales, plus some high street accounts - including Amazon, The Book Depository, TK Maxx, The Works, Tesco, ASDA, Sainsburys, ALDI and WHSmith Travel.  For this role we’re primarily looking for someone to work across high street and supermarket accounts, as well as online. However, we’re seeking candidates with experience of working across any of these areas of business.  You’ll be working across our entire list from board and novelty books to 11+ fiction.

We are a busy and dynamic team and we value the experience and creative input that we can each provide.  You’ll need to be flexible, determined, with a keen eye for detail, and good at working as part of a team.

Key responsibilities and tasks:

· Managing the trading relationships and sell-in for a number of key accounts, with some support from our Sales Assistant

· Working with the PR and Marketing teams to ensure customers are kept up to date with campaigns and activity

· Liaising with operations teams and Nosy Crow’s distributors, GBS, to ensure efficient stock management for your accounts

· Contributing to the publishing process at Nosy Crow, though communicating customer feedback and market trends

  • Developing and presenting sales strategy for your accounts based on sales analysis

Key skills, characteristics, and capabilities:

  • Previous experience working in publishing sales
  • A very close eye for detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills plus the ability to write persuasive copy
  • Experience working with sales data and Excel for sales analysis
  • Confidence in building and maintaining relationships
  • A keen interest in children’s books, if not experience of children’s publishing

The successful candidate will have the right to live and work in the UK.
