Digital Marketing Manager

A great opportunity has arisen for a creative, proactive, and detail-orientated individual to join Nosy Crow’s Digital team as a Digital Marketing Manager. Nosy Crow is a multi-award winning, independent children’s publishing company. We make child-focused, parent-friendly children’s books for ages 0-12.

The role is a full-time position and is a hybrid role, working a minimum of three days per week in our office near to London Bridge.

The successful candidate will have the right to live and work in the UK.

Purpose of the Job

Reporting to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, the Digital Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and executing effective digital marketing campaigns to promote our children’s books, across Novelty, Picture book, Fiction, and Non-fiction.

This role will collaborate closely with the Sales, Marketing, and PR teams to drive brand awareness, increase sales, and engage with our target audience; working with the social media executive to ensure that all campaigns are integrated across online channels.

Key responsibilities:

Online Campaigns

  • Work with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager to develop and implement digital advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, targeting, and performance measurement.
  • Brief the digital designer to create engaging visual assets for digital campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to plan and execute book marketing campaigns across various digital channels, aligned to sales goals.
  • Create blog posts and curated lists for the website and to serve as destination links for advertising and Pinterest pins.
  • Drive the website ecommerce strategies in collaboration with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager.
  • Identify and managing relationships with potential website link sources.

Email Marketing

  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns aligned with marketing goals and objectives.
  • Build and manage email marketing calendars and workflows.
  • Optimise new subscriber automations, abandoned basket sequences.
  • Build and maintain email lists, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Analyse customer data to identify target audiences and segmentation opportunities.
  • Develop email marketing reporting and analysis to measure campaign performance.
  • Collaborate with other marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding.

Data Analysis and Optimisation

  • Conduct keyword research and integrating SEO strategies into campaign plans. 
  • Integrate SEO strategies into content creation plan, liaising across digital, editorial, sales, and marketing departments.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of campaign performance to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
  • Stay up to date with the latest digital marketing tools and technologies.
  • Research content topics and ideas to share with the wider sales, marketing, and publicity departments.

Key skills, characteristics and capabilities:

  • Creative and innovative thinker with a passion for children's books.
  • Proven experience in managing end-to-end digital marketing campaigns, preferably within the publishing industry.
  • Knowledge of SEO and PPC advertising.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management and organisational abilities.
  • Strong copywriting skills.
  • Experience across WordPress, Google Analytics/ GA4, and Google Search Console desired, but not essential
  • Biblio experience desired, but not essential.

The starting salary for this role will be no less than £38,000 depending on experience.
