Digital Sales and Marketing Executive

Now in our twelfth year, Notting Hill Editions is one of Britain’s most exciting independent publishers of short literary non-fiction. Our titles have a strong US presence through our distribution partner New York Review Books. A unique position has arisen for a dynamic sales and marketing professional who is excited about the possibilities and challenges that working for a self-starting indie can offer. This is a new role and there are many unexplored opportunities for someone to make their mark and take NHE to the next level. This is a three-day-a-week position, with flexible working time. We are a small collaborative team of four and the job holder will report directly to the publisher.

Overall objective: To develop and implement a sales and marketing strategy that will drive performance and growth across all areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Creating and implementing sales and marketing strategies for new and backlist titles

Managing metadata across title information systems such as Stison, Central Books and Amazon

Growing our online representation and social media presence

Establishing partnerships to increase brand awareness and sales

Pursing Special Sales opportunities, both online and physical

Optimising SEO and online descriptions for key digital platforms

Essential Requirements:

You will be a creative thinker able to work within a budget, with excellent communication skills and an eye for detail. You will be used to managing your own time and have at least two years’ sales and marketing experience in trade publishing or bookselling. You will have a comprehensive understanding of all social media channels and their role in a digital marketing strategy.

Location

You would be working from home with regular in-face meetings with members of the team in London.

Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) depending on experience (pro rata)

Standard pension contribution

Holiday: 28 days plus bank holidays (pro rata)
