Wise Music Group is one of the World’s leading music publishers, owning and managing over 200,000 popular and classical music copyrights. The Group is privately owned by one family over several generations, and the UK Head Office is situated in London, in the West End.

Omnibus Press, the book publishing division of the Group, has been publishing books about music for over 40 years. With approximately 30 new titles a year and over 500 backlist titles in print, it is the market leader in the field and continues to publish genre defining books covering all musical styles.


The Commercial Administrator supports the Commercial Director in the delivery of the annual budget principally through sales & marketing administration and product data management.

Key Objectives:

  1. To ensure the catalogue data across all major trade platforms, including Amazon and Nielsen, is kept accurate and up to date at all times
  2. To be instrumental in the growth of the company’s Twitter, Facebook and Instagram profiles through social media marketing
  3. To support both trade and D2C sales development through targeted consumer marketing and newsletters, the processing of orders, and customer service support


To provide support across all commercial areas of publishing, including:

  • Managing the Omnibus info@ email and responding to or distributing enquiries to the relevant team member
  • Processing metadata, title updates and corrections to Amazon Advantage, Nielsen, and our 3 distribution partners
  • Processing trade and D2C orders, and occasionally providing customer service support
  • Communicating regularly with authors and 3rd party publishers and providing general sales and stock reports on request
  • Creating regular D2C newsletters
  • Social media marketing
  • Providing trade marketing support (AI generation) and liaising with designers on advert creation
  • Providing PR administration support and processing review copy orders
  • Event and trade show administration
  • Filing press and marketing campaigns for each new title
  • General filing of contracts and licence agreements


Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year experience within the book industry
  • Educated to degree level preferred (English Language degree would be advantageous)


  • General understanding of book trade operations
  • Working knowledge of Nielsen Title Data
  • Working knowledge of Amazon Advantage
  • A keen interest and knowledge of music and contemporary artists would be a distinct advantage

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skill & a working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to work calmly across multiple tasks at the same time
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team


Core working hours are 0930 to 1730 Monday to Friday, however you will need to be flexible and able to work additional hours as required ensuring deadlines are met.

  • Salary Bracket - £22-24k per annum
