Online Content Production Editor

We have a fantastic role for a candidate with strong digital production skills and a good understanding of XML - our client is a highly prestigious Academic and Professional publisher with offices in both London and Oxford, they are now seeking an Online Content Production Editor to join their team. This role will be based remotely in the first instance, with plans to return to the office 2 days a week from September based in either London or Oxford.

The Online Content Production Editor role will work very closely with the Head of Production, responsible for coordinating the production and editorial workflow for their online platforms and digital resources. Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing digital content through all stages of the production process from receipt through to the creation of XML files
• Develop specific briefs for copy-editing and proofreading to be shared with freelancers and the project management teams
• Quality check all source files to ensure a high level of accuracy
• Provide cost estimates and schedules where required for newly commissioned and backlist content

The successful candidate will have an existing knowledge of XML, and experience of using XML within a content platform - this could be within the Academic, Professional, Education or Online Publishing sectors. Superb proofreading and copyediting skills are essential, alongside an organised, meticulous approach to work with a keen eye for detail. If this sounds of interest, please get in touch asap!
