Our esteemed client, an exceptional Trade Publisher, is seeking a highly motivated individual eager to leverage their publishing expertise in a supportive role within their operations team. This Fixed Termed Contract is for 3 months initially and will be looking for candidates who can contribute to the day-to-day operations while gaining exposure to the entire business. Through comprehensive training and guidance across their cutting-edge systems, you will acquire the tools and knowledge required to excel in a fast-paced department, encompassing inventory management, data analysis, reporting, and system maintenance.
In this multifaceted position, you will provide invaluable operations support to our team and undertake various administrative tasks crucial to our clients business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the accuracy of quantities and delivery dates for UK orders by diligently maintaining the MIS (Management Information System).
- Conducting regular analyses of stock holdings for both UK and US markets, employing inventory reporting and analysis techniques.
- Assisting in the preparation and participation of print projection meetings and reprint meetings, encompassing follow-ups on cost requests, margins, and approvals from sales teams.
- Creating essential bibliographic data (metadata) for our publications.
- Providing support for the transfer of publishing assets via ONIX.
- Maintaining and updating metadata, book covers, and interiors.
- Undertaking various publishing operations tasks, such as coordinating schedules, maintaining overview documents, managing font and picture licenses, and conducting title count analyses.
- Generating reports as required by the operations team.
- Offering assistance and support to other departments with their business requests when needed.
To thrive in this role, you should be a proficient user of MS Office, particularly Excel, fantastic at communication internally and externally and to conduct reports using different IT software,
