Operational Excellence Manager
Are you a Production specialist with Publishing industry experience and a track record of managing supplier relations and performance, cost control, and project management?
We have a new Operational Excellence Manager vacancy here at Emerald Publishing where you’ll play a key role in supporting the Production department suppliers and internal teams deliver a best-in-class experience for our author communities.
We’re all still working from home but this role can be fully remote long-term (with a couple of days in our Bingley office per month, in agreement with the Head of Production).

Role & Team:
This role joins Emerald Publishing in our Production department, part of our wider Content Management division.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll assist in managing the production supplier base, ensuring that stretching targets are set, achieved, and maintained. With a focus on quality, you’ll perform detailed root cause analysis across production processes, identifying behavioural trends or patterns, and devising, implementing, and monitoring solutions.
You’ll support the roll-out of new initiatives relating to workflows, production technology, and bespoke product requests, and will be responsible for taking the lead in establishing the new offshore project management model.
You’ll drive efficiencies and cost savings across Production via process improvement, change management, and through data-driven decisions, and within the department champion and demonstrate skills in Lean Six Sigma, Agile project management, and problem solving.
Who We're Looking for:
