Our client, an independent publisher and distributor to books, gifts and stationary, is actively seeking an Operations Manager to join their dynamic team. Working closely with the inventory manager and reporting directly to the Director of Finance & Operations, this role holds significant importance within a thriving and expanding department. The primary responsibilities entail overseeing all aspects of stock control, close coordination with their Warehouse, and facilitating seamless communication across internal departments including Production, Marketing, and Sales.
Key duties include:
- Efficient management of stock with a focus on reporting and analysis
- Providing guidance on price adjustments
- Overseeing dues releases and embargoes
- Handling reports of damages and addressing customer complaints
- Upholding high standards of customer service
- Contributing to office operations
- Supporting the sales team in delivering exceptional customer service
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in stock control/inventory management, with a preference for previous experiences in the publishing sector. Strong administrative skills are essential, alongside proficiency in Excel and a keen to work with data. Effective communication skills are paramount, as this role has regular interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.
