Senior Production Controller

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum

9 – 12 month fixed term contract

London or any regional office

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

As an experienced publishing professional you will work across a broad range of fiction, non-fiction, illustrated books and gift products.

You will plan, control and carry out all production tasks of pre-press and manufacturing to ensure cost-effective, timely and quality production of new publications, gift products and reprints.

This role is an exceptional opportunity to make a significant contribution to the production of some of the most engaging and eye-catching projects from this award-winning publisher

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Are an experienced production professional with technical knowledge of print and how books are made, including digital formats and workflows.
  • Are a natural communicator - confident in building strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers and other stakeholders.
  • Can negotiate the best prices while maintaining high levels of quality and timely delivery.
  • Thrive in a busy team environment where you are encouraged to solve problems collaboratively.
  • Have strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload, multi-task and meet deadlines.

Desirable but not essential for the role:

  • Experience of Biblio.
  • Knowledge of safety testing.

This role can be based at our London office, or at any of our new regional offices in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester, Sheffield or Bristol, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.
