Campaigns Manager, Penguin General (6-9 Month FTC)

Penguin General’s award-winning Communications team are looking for a marketing focused Campaigns Manager (FTC 6– 9 months) to join our team.  You will be working on marketing campaigns across our imprints Penguin Life, Penguin Business, Viking, Fig Tree, Sandy Cove and Hamish Hamilton, from high profile platform authors to exciting debuts.

The Opportunity
You’ll be running all stages of marketing campaigns from strategic planning through to execution and evaluation. You’ll be working with authors on social media content for their platforms, running digital advertising and liaising with our sales team on promotional materials for retailers. You’ll be devising key campaign messaging and creating striking assets for your campaigns. Your work will involve contact with authors and their literary agents, as well as close collaboration with in-house colleagues across departments.

You’ll be a crucial member of a fun, dynamic and supportive team and will be responsible for marketing campaigns that are impactful and sales-driving. 

What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who has experience delivering book marketing campaigns and is a creative thinker with great organisational skills who enjoys working collaboratively as part of a busy team. You’ll have a strong design eye as well as keen analytical skills to ensure your campaigns are optimised to best effect. We would love to hear from you if some of the following sound like you:

  • Demonstrable digital marketing experience where your campaigns have delivered against objectives

  • A keen interest in marketing and consumer trends, and an agility to be able to incorporate these into your campaigns

  • Analytical ability to use consumer insights and performance metrics to optimise your campaigns

  • Creative flair to create striking design assets and punchy campaign copy with excellent attention to detail

  • Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and different deadlines

  • A great communicator, able to work collaboratively with different internal teams, and ability to confidently present effectively to a wide range of people

Salary:  Up to £34,000 dependent on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits.

Hybrid working: We’re experimenting with a hybrid way of working that suits the needs of each team. While our offices across the UK are places to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, we recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important. For this role we expect that you will work from our London office on Vauxhall Bridge Road, attending key meetings and working as part of the team usually three days per week, with home working on the other days.
