Foreign Rights Manager

We’re looking for a Foreign Rights Manager to join the team selling translation rights for the Michael Joseph, Transworld and Vintage divisions of Penguin Random House UK.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with clients in your territories, keeping up to date with market developments and seeking new opportunities for our authors to maximise rights potential.   A team-player, you’ll have excellent communication skills and be ready to work closely with Rights and Editorial colleagues, as well as external customers.

You’ll be able to keep on top of a large list of a variety of genres, and when we’re able to travel again, you’ll undertake international sales trips and attend the London and Frankfurt Book Fairs. We work across a full spectrum of fiction and non-fiction, so the role will suit someone who reads avidly and broadly.

We’re looking for an experienced rights professional, with proven commercial success in selling, a confident negotiator who enjoys building buzz and closing deals.  Languages would be beneficial but not essential.

If this sounds like the next step for you, please apply with CV and Cover Letter by midnight on Sunday 25th October 2020.

All interviews will be conducted over video. We are currently working remotely, but expect this role to transition back into our Vauxhall Bridge Road office in London when we are able.
