Head of Campaigns, Ebury

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Head of Campaigns at the Smart Thinking team within Ebury, the UK’s leading non-fiction publisher.

At Ebury, part of Penguin Random House, we find and create unique, unmissable books of the highest quality that speak to the moment and stand the test of time. Our Smart Hub’s list spans memoir, nature writing, investigative journalism, history, politics, psychology and business. We’re proud to publish some of the world’s most exciting and influential writers, thinkers and leaders, including Caitlin Moran, Chris Packham, Dara McAnulty, Sheryl Sandberg, Nazir Afzal, Jack Fairweather, James O’Brien, Reed Hastings and Elaine Weltheroth. Our imprints are Ebury Press, WH Allen, Witness Books and Ebury Edge.

We are looking for a leader for the smart hub’s publicity and marketing team – to craft bold, industry-leading integrated campaigns for our books. You will liaise closely with editors as a creative partner, with a voice in who we publish and how we bring their message to readers around the world.

You’ll naturally have a keen eye for current affairs and a desire to shape the cultural agenda. Experience managing a team and big projects is essential, as are relationships with tastemakers and influencers who will be advocates for our books. You’ll bring an audience-first mindset, and a determination to capture readers’ imaginations and create demand through high-impact events, print, broadcast and online. You’ll thrive working with authors who spark trends and provoke conversations, and who range from globally bestselling brands to the new generation of debut writers. This role will suit a proactive team player as you will be working with authors and agents as well as international platforms and partners.

Whether you have a background in publishing or not, it is critical that you have a passion for books, a track record of standout campaigns, and that you always have an eye on the bigger picture.

If this sounds like you, please apply with a CV and cover letter by 26th Jan.
