About Ebury, and the Self-hub

This role will be working on marketing campaigns for our Self publishing imprints – Vermilion, Rider and Happy Place Books. These lists have unrivalled expertise across personal development, health, wellbeing, parenting and spirituality. We publish books that inform, empower and spark new directions from an incredible list of inspirational authors including Brené Brown, Yung Pueblo, Fearne Cotton, Wim Hof and Oprah Winfrey. 

The role and key responsibilities

As part of the Ebury Communications team and our Self Hub, you’ll help take our books to new audiences, working closely with authors, agents, editors, publicity, sales and international to deliver engaging and joined-up marketing activity. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, implementing and analysing digital marketing campaigns for a range of titles through the year on the Self Hub list

  • Supporting senior communications colleagues on major platform and headliner campaigns  

  • Keeping abreast of trends and influencers in our core subject areas and feeding into new projects and acquisitions meetings

  • Being a team player across the Self hub team and assisting with cross-functional team activities and events

  • Representing the Self hub list internally and externally, generating buzz around our books

  • Building and developing excellent relationships with authors, agents, brand partners, retailers, influencers and internal and external stakeholders

  • Identifying opportunities to reach new audiences

What you’ll bring

We are looking for someone with lots of initiative and creativity, who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple deadlines, and flex and prioritise with confidence. A strong understanding of digital marketing and an interest in discovering innovative ways to reach new audiences online is key, as is a real passion for books as solutions and inspiration for life’s challenges.

You will be an organised, flexible team player who is brimming with ideas and the drive to make them happen. You will have strong communication skills with the ability to confidently present ideas and feedback on team projects. You’ll be creating target-driven marketing campaigns and expanding our network by building relationships with influencers and brands.

This role will suit someone with publishing, broadcast, start-up, marketing or social media agency experience, however, we welcome applicants from any sector with the relevant skills - if you have a passion for books, we want to hear from you.

Salary: circa £30,000 dependent on how your skills and experience align with the role, plus bonus and benefits
