Sales Manager (Vintage)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Manager to join the Vintage Sales team.

With a catalogue of over 6,000 titles, Vintage publishes some of the world’s most thought-provoking, unforgettable, beautifully designed books – from contemporary trailblazers to our red-spine Vintage Classics. This means that our broad family of authors ranges from world-class prize-winners to emerging talent, including Toni Morrison, Margaret Atwood, Jo Nesbo, Afua Hirsch, Rukmini Iyer, Ocean Vuong and Ian McEwan.

In this role, reporting to the Sales Director, you will manage a team of three Key Account Managers, as well as working closely with colleagues across Editorial, Marketing, Publicity, Production and Sales Operations. You’ll use excellent communication and relationship skills to influence and guide our publishing strategy, finding opportunities to maximise and grow sales across the Vintage list.

Leadership of the key accounts team will form a crucial part of your role. You’ll create an environment where your team members are supported and inspired to do their best work. Working across all areas of the market, you will be confident co-ordinating sales strategy & retail partnerships for physical and online retailers – in print and digital formats.

You’ll have a strong sales background in either a publishing or media environment, with experience managing key accounts across large UK retailers including online accounts. You’ll be commercially focused and analytically minded, showing that you can use data and insight from the market to influence sound business decisions.

Connecting with colleagues, customers and the team is central to the role, you’ll adopt a collaborative approach, work closely with stakeholders to problem solve, be comfortable taking ownership and responsibility, and know when to delegate.

Vintage is an exciting place to work and we pride ourselves on a dynamic culture where everyone’s voice is important. We are looking for someone who can bring a fresh perspective and new energy to a crucial role in the Sales Team.

Please apply with your CV and cover letter no later than Sunday 13th February.
