Senior PR Manager (12m FTC)

We are looking for a Senior Publicity Manager to join our Penguin Random House Children’s team on a 12 month fixed term contract basis until the end of October 2022.

As Senior Publicity Manager, your focus will be on the Children’s pre-school list, with a particular focus on Ladybird.  The role will be a combination of Brand PR and Title PR, with the responsibility for independently planning and executing publicity campaigns for specific titles and authors on the Children’s roster alongside key brand moments for Ladybird across the calendar. 

We’re looking for a creative publicist who can take book and brand campaigns from inception through implementation and beyond. You’ll work closely with major brand partners and high profile authors and agents, as well as colleagues in editorial, marketing and sales, so we’re looking for someone with strong communication skills and an understanding of working with talent.  You’ll be a self-starter, full of creative ways to reach a pre-school audience.

You’ll need a knowledge of integrated PR across social media, print, digital, broadcast and radio as well as experience managing events. We’re looking for someone who thrives engaging with online communities, influencers, and upcoming trends as well as having the experience of working on influencer and social media campaigns.

You don’t need a publishing background to be considered, but you will be able to demonstrate a strong interest in and passion for children’s media/publishing. This role will have line management responsibility so it’s important that you’re a confident leader with the ability to foster great working relationships quickly and successfully.

Salary: Up to £42,000 depending on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits.
