Personal Assistant

Our client, a celebrated British journalist and bestselling author, is looking for a Personal Assistant, on a part-time basis, to support with the management of their professional and personal affairs. 

With demonstrable experience in diary management you are an agile communicator comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Day-to-day there will be an array of varied tasks - everything from arranging brand engagements and book launches, liaising with publishing and agency teams, through to managing and creating travel itineraries.

Responsibilities include:

Logistical/Diary Management:

  • Preemptive calendar/diary management; coordinating daily schedules, appointments, and personal and professional commitments.
  • Extensive travel and diary management, including medical appointments and reservations, with all details accounted for in full (with directions, timings, tickets) in diary.
  • Anticipate and proactively manage schedules, resolving conflicts and ensuring optimal time management.
  • Coordinate with relevant parties to ensure seamless execution of commitments.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all external inquiries, prioritising and handling communications with complete discretion.

Privacy Management:

  • Uphold strict confidentiality and prioritise the privacy of the primary at all stages.
  • Screen and manage access to the primary, ensuring a secure and private environment. You will politely and professionally be able to protect her time and privacy.

Other Duties:

  • Basic IT support and technology management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in administration in a high-profile environment.
  • Exceptional organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in relevant tools.
  • Commitment to privacy and discretion.
  • Versatility to manage diverse responsibilities.

Job type: Part-time, 2-3 days per week with flexibility around the distribution of hours throughout the week. For example, this could be a couple of hours a day Monday-Friday or 2 fixed full-time days. 

Salary: £30-40k (FTE) 

Working pattern: 1 day a week from South London residence
