Foreign Rights Assistant sought for Small Soho Agency

PEW LITERARY is looking to hire an ambitious and bookish assistant, with or without experience, to assist our Foreign Rights Agent working across our expanding list of prize-winning non-fiction writers and novelists.

The ideal candidate will be literate and numerate, and willing to tackle some dull jobs – handling post, phone calls, inputting data, applying for tax exemption – along with helping draft agreements, preparing for book fairs, and liaising with authors, our existing staff and co-agents. Strong IT skills are a must.

Office hours 10.00 am to 18.00 pm Monday to Friday, with flexibility for some home working.

Salary: £24,000 with pension (and student loan, if any) contributions.

This is an entry level position but experience in the publishing field would be an advantage.

To apply, please send your CV and a short covering letter to Cora MacGregor:

Application deadline: Thursday 7th December.

Please note that we may close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role.
