Operations Executive - Amazon

Phaidon is the premier global publisher of the creative arts, with over 1,500 titles in print. We work with the world’s most influential writers, chefs, architects, designers, photographers, and thinkers to produce innovative books on food, architecture, design, art, photography, fashion, general interest, travel, and illustrated books for children.

Operations Executive - Amazon

They will be based in our London office and will report into the Global Director of Operations & Digital. We are looking for an energetic, motivated individual with up to three years’ work experience ideally in publishing or a similar industry within a commercial or operations team.

They will be responsible for making sure our products are accurately presented, as well as their being optimized for consumer discoverability on Amazon. They will be responsible for updating our product database, both product data and visual assets, to ensure both our ONIX feed and data uploads onto Vendor Central are happening effectively.

Key Accountabilities

• Amazon
  • Manage our product catalogue:
    • on Amazon US, UK, AUS, and EU
    • working directly or via distributors
    • working via our ONIX feed or directly via Vendor Central
  • Responsible for uploading our visual assets and A+ content.
  • Manage title specific keywords that are optimized in line with our marketing campaign and optimized for consumer discoverability.
  • Responsible for raising cases in Vendor Central to ensure mistakes are being corrected by Amazon.

• Product database and ONIX data feed
  • Responsible for managing our product database and ONIX feed to ensure accurate product information.
  • Responsible for updating changes into our product database, working closely working with our editorial team.
  • Responsible for updating changes in visual assets in our product database, working closely working with our design team.
  • Responsible for making sure the data and visual assets in our product database are ready to be used for our own e-commerce platform www.phaidon.com.

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience working in sales or operations, preferably in the publishing industry
• Highly proactive individual with a ‘getting things done’ mentality
• Highly organized and disciplined individual with a great eye for detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experienced with systems e.g. Excel, Google Drive, and PowerPoint  
• Self-motivated but also able to work as part of a team.
