Key Accounts Manager / Sales Manager UK
Introduction.
Phoenix International Publications specialises in Children’s Books, with a key focus on electronic sound books and Books + products, including characters from many of the key Licence groups, including Disney, Nickelodeon, Mattel and Hasbro.
The UK business has been established in London for approximately 20 years and counts many of the UK’s leading Book and Toy retail groups among its customers.
We are seeking to appoint a Key Accounts / Sales Manager to strengthen support for some existing customers and take the business into new markets to broaden distribution of the Phoenix product range and to take advantage of the rapidly changing retail market.
The position would be based in the London office and is a full-time with hybrid working options.
Role:
Sales/Key Account Manager, reporting to the EMEA General Manager, the role will be to work with key existing partners, identifying new business opportunities and with particular focus on growing and strengthening existing relationships. Working with the commercial teams globally to build print runs and adapting to suit different customer needs.
Responsibilities
Visit new and existing customers, presenting and developing publishing programmes. Identify new opportunities and grow current business, Forecasting for print runs and P&L’s. Dealing with a wide customer base including High Street, Non-trade, Clearance, Book Clubs and some online business
Attributes:
Experience in a Business Development or Key Account / Sales role. You may already have experience in Sales and want to move up in the next stage of your career or looking for a new challenge. Should be familiar with developing promotional programmes with major retailers, including development of Point of Sale material.
Would best suit a self-motivated candidate with the ability to multi task, excellent communication skill and who is results driven. You must have the ability to work independently as well as part of an international team. Some overseas travel may be involved.
Candidate should ideally have a background in Books, Toys or other entertainment-based format and have contacts within those sectors.
Must be conversant with Microsoft Office programmes, especially Excel. SAP and Biblio experience preferred but not essential
The company is based in West London but this is a hybrid position and working from home options are also available.
Good salary plus up to 25% bonus scheme offered.
