Portfolio Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for a results-focused and innovative Portfolio Manager to join a Higher Education publisher for a permanent, full-time role in their London office. If you are an analytical self-starter with a keen interest in driving strategy and business transformation, then I would love to hear from you! 

Key duties:

  • Develop, deliver and commission the product strategy for Higher Education portfolios (textbooks and digital products) across EMEA, focusing on Accounting, Finance and Economics
  • Manage the regional product portfolio including revenue and profitability
  • Promote the portfolio to internal and external customers
  • Work with the Sales and Marketing teams and recruit authors and/or SMEs 
  • Identify, develop and present business cases for new products and services
  • Use tools and data to determine allocation of investment based on customer insight

Experience / skills required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)/postgraduate qualifications and Higher Education experience desirable
  • Experience in science, publishing and educational technology or in digital product management/development 
  • Commissioning experience desirable
  • Commercial background and experience developing business plans
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Database management experience
