Senior Production Controller
Priddy Books, children's publisher of baby, pre-school and novelty books, is looking for a Senior Production Controller to join their small, friendly team.
This is a great opportunity to work on a wide range of best-selling novelty books, illustrated picture books and books-plus products for children. We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly-organised and experienced production person to join our team to manage the production of frontlist titles.
The role will require a good level of safety testing knowledge and experience.
Responsibilities:
- negotiating with suppliers
- working with the creative and sales teams to meet deadlines
- working with the rights team to get best prices and print schedules for co-editions
- working with printers to ensure that books are produced to a high standard
- co-ordinating shipping and delivery requirements
- deputising for Production Manager
To thrive in this role, you will need to be proactive and self-motivated, with a flexible approach and a problem-solving attitude. You will have excellent communication skills, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines. You will also have a high level of knowledge on all aspects of four colour book production. Knowledge of Biblio would be an advantage.
This is a full time, permanent role, partly based in our offices near King’s Cross, London, and partly working from home.
Salary starting from: £33,000, depending on experience
