Primary Education Sales Consultant - term time
A leading educational publisher is looking for a home-based Educational Sales Consultant to promote and sell their Primary School resources across the West and South West of England. This is a term-time only, permanent role, working 195 days during the school year. The position is remote / field-based, where the successful candidate will be located in the West or South West (ideally Bristol based for instance), within the area they will cover. The company offer a competitive salary, bonus, benefits and sales car.
As the Primary Education Sales Consultant for the West and South West, you'll cover the counties between Cornwall, Hampshire and Worcestershire, including Devon, Cornwall, Dorset, and Gloucester areas. Your main remit will be to partner with schools to offer a bespoke customer service through a collaborative, consultative sales approach, in order to support your customers with their selection of products and services that will enhance teaching and learning. This is a field-based position, requiring a mix of in school visits and virtual meetings. There may be occasional times that require an over night stay. You will be working within the Primary Education portfolio, expanding the customer base and finding new schools to work with. Your customers will range from teachers through to Directors within multi academy trusts, so an ability to work and present at all levels is important.
Ideally the Educational Consultant will have some sales / customer service experience and an interest in Education. Full sales and product training if offered so knowledge/experience of the Primary Education sector is not essential. You should be a strong listener and have a natural ability to carry out a consultative sales meeting, ensuring you are gathering all relevant information to best support your customers.
