Are you an experienced Maths Education Publishing professional seeking a new challenge or step-up in your career? A highly prestigious educational publisher is looking for a Primary Maths Publisher to join their UK schools STEM publishing team to draw on their Primary Maths and Education Publishing market knowledge to manage their current and future Primary Maths product list. Alongside a competitive salary and excellent benefits, our client offers remote working initially, with flexibility for a hybrid working pattern thereafter with the expectation for regular visits to the company's Oxford office.

The main remit of the Primary Maths Publisher will be to devise a customer strategy for Primary Maths that will drive growth and focus on a strong relationship with customers by always having a deep understanding of their needs and anticipate how market changes will impact on them. You will also be responsible for the delivery on time and to budget of the Primary Maths publishing plan through strong leadership, clear and effective communication and excellent project management skills. You will conceive and commission projects, lead on the shape and structure of products, and work with sales and marketing to ensure that product structures and objectives are market-oriented. Furthermore, you will nurture best editorial practice, and monitor quality and problem-solve to ensure that Primary Maths products are accurate, appropriate and accessible for the target audience. You will also look to build on the existing Primary Maths network by fostering strong relationships with authors, teachers, influencers, experts, and subject associations, and you will manage editors, supporting them with the delivery of their projects as well as their personal development.

The ideal Primary Maths Publisher, will have a clear passion for Maths Education combined with sound product / list management experience from having worked with maths-based products previously and possess a deep understanding of the needs of Primary teachers and learners. Excellent communication, people management and presentation skills are a must, alongside an understanding of the UK Maths curriculum, whether that be from a role in teaching, publishing or product management within an educational context.
