A leading educational publishing organisation has an opportunity for a Product Manager, Contractor to join them for an initial 12 month period, working in a fast-paced, international publishing team to contribute to the management of the commercial product roadmaps and business cases for the development of assigned products. The role can be based remotely from the UK and offers an excellent salary.
The Product Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of (commercial) products, a portfolio of product developments, developing a product roadmap, publication product developments and the applicable product management efforts related to these products. The role leads and co-leads collaborative teams across disciplines, departments and global locations, and ensures products meet the demands of the customers and provide a great user experience. The commercial products can be physical products, print products, digital products, or subscription-based products. The product manager drives the product roadmap developments from ideation to launch to in-life management. The Product Manager establishes ideas, product concepts and business cases for both new products and enhancements of existing products.
The ideal Product Manager will have some Product Management experience with user-centric development of products and services, either in publishing, education, education technology or in a related industry. They will have experience with the management of a product portfolio. The Product Manager will be results driven with an appetite for innovation and creativity and have excellent communication skills. The successful Product Manager Contractor will ideally be able to invoice the company directly so being set up as a contractor would be helpful but not essential, as long as this can be arranged that is fine too.
