Production Administrator

Our client, a leading Educational publisher based in central London is looking to recruit a Production Administrator to provide administrative support to the production, stock control and operations teams. The role offers long term career development, excellent salary and benefits, and although currently all working from home, the company offer hybrid working, with 3 days worked in the office and 2 days from home.

Reporting to the Head of Production the Production Administrator will have a varied and important role where there'll be cross-over with operations, stock control and production. Key responsibilities include:

  • Update systems/reports and provide accurate information relating to work in progress
  • Raising print instructions and regular monitoring to ensure all reprint requests have been actioned.
  • Assist other departments, in matters relating to stock and data.
  • Assist the Production Department in maintaining the Production systems and facilitate departmental/divisional tasks as directed by the Head of Production/ Production Manager.
  • Assist with various monthly data cleansing checks, updating of Biblio fields, and weekly updating of new titles tracker.
  • Keep up to date with the latest changes/developments with the company systems, including being a Biblio3 super user.
  • Organise any training for the Production Department, as directed by the Head of Production/ Production Manager
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Operations Director/Production Managers.
  • Assist with reprints as required.
  • Manage the administrative side of global tenders. Ensuring audit administrative requirements are met.

The successful candidate will be someone who is able to learn quickly, problem solve and maintain an organised desk. The ideal candidate for this role will come with a solid understanding of the publishing process, some relevant office/administration experience, be systems driven, keen to learn and motivated with exceptional administrative and prioritisation and communication skills. In addition, we are looking for a candidate with excellent computer literacy skills, with an advanced knowledge of Excel in particular.
