Production Controller

A leading trade book publisher is looking to recruit an experienced  production professional to join the production team of one of their well-known imprints. This exciting production role will be responsible for their colour and mono reprints, but will also offer the opportunity to work on some of their varied frontlist titles. This role can be worked on a hybrid basis with 2 days a week in the London office.

As Production Controller, you will be responsible for controlling the production process of your list through to delivery, dealing with printers, costings and negotiating with printers, shipping and external suppliers. Other key responsibilities will include scheduling, co-editions and reprints, as well as anticipating any production issues that may arise.

This is a great production opportunity for someone who might be working as a Production Assistant within a books environment and is looking for the next level of responsibility, or a Production Controller looking for a more varied and exciting list to work on. You will have a solid grasp of both 4 colour and mono production work, as well as fantastic multi-tasking, organization and communication skills. You should have the ability to multi-task and work to deadlines within a production environment and deliver books to a high standard.
