A fantastic new temporary position of Production Controller has opened up within the children's division of a leading trade book publisher. This role would be handling production for a variety of trade and non-trade books such as reprints and ebooks. You will making sure all titles are delivered on time and according to budget. The role will be for c. 3 months and is full-time with hybrid working patterns (2 days minimum a week in the London office).
The role would report to the Production Manager. The role's responsibilities include:
- Monitoring production of non-trade reprints and co-editions for allocated imprints
- Managing and inputting costings into the in-house database
- Logging and archiving reprint and co-editions into Biblio
- Holding meetings with suppliers for the titles and confirming schedules
- Overseeing smooth ebook conversion for assigned books
- Raising purchase orders
You will have experience working on book production within trade publishing and be highly computer literate, knowing how to operate Microsoft Office, Excel especially, and Biblio well. You will be financially aware and a strong communicator verbally and in writing.
