Production Controller (4 month FTC)

A leading Trade book Publisher, is seeking a highly motivated Production Controller to join their production team on an initial 4 month fixed term contract to support with the workload over the Summer period. The company offer hybrid working from their central London office, and a competitive salary.

As Production Controller, you will join a busy and friendly team and be responsible for supporting the team with special sales, custom publishing, co-editions, ebooks and reprints, including colour book production whilst working with suppliers worldwide. You will work closely with colleagues in Editorial and Design. You will be responsible for managing titles, schedules and budgets, quality checking products and ensuring that files are up to date and play a key part as the company continues to grow through the timely delivery of high-quality products.

The ideal Production Controller will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• 4 colour book production/printing experience/eBook experience
• A good understanding of typesetting, reproduction, digital and print technology
• Strong numeracy and MS Excel skills
• The ability to work to tight deadlines; an eye for detail; teamwork skills
• A 'can-do' attitude especially when things get busy!
