Production Controller (Children’s) x 2 

An award-winning children’s books publisher is looking for two Production Controllers to join their friendly, busy and fast-expanding production team in their London office. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to middleweight Production professional to join this creative children’s publisher.

Production Controller Key duties:

  • Work on reprint and backlist titles on Special Sales projects
  • Oversee production process from receipt of files through to delivery
  • Prepare files for print and coordinate production schedules
  • Manage print prices to ensure books are produced to budget
  • Communicate clearly with in-house departments and external suppliers in the Far East and UK
  • Ensure that books are produced on time and meet required quality standards

Production Controller Experience / skills required:

  • Experience in a 4-colour book production role in publishing
  • An understanding of the book production process
  • Excellent organisation skills with a keen eye for detail and good time-management
  • Knowledge of Word and Adobe CS  
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, can-do attitude with a problem solving approach
  • Novelty production knowledge will be a plus
