Production Controller - Maternity Cover

Are you a 4c Production Controller available at short notice? We have a 6-12 month maternity cover opportunity in the production team of a world renowned trade publisher based in Central London. The role will focus on the production across a diverse range of global books of both trade and special sale titles.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

·Overseeing production stages for your assigned list, including costing and scheduling, and delivery

·Contribute to the product development of your assigned titles

·Controlling the quality of the final products

·Liaising with internal as well external contacts including suppliers and printers to ensure schedules and costings are being respected

The successful candidate will have excellent time management skills as well as a strong eye for detail. Strong communication skills are a must, as well as the ability to work to tight deadlines. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Production Assistant/Controller with a solid understanding of full-colour and co-edition printing processes to work in a commercial and driven environment. Previous experience with novelty books and an understanding of product safety would be a strong advantage.
