Production Designer

As Production Designer you will work alongside subject matter experts, within a team of editors and designers, in the development and delivery of traditional and digital assessment material. You will manage a varied workload using a range of tools, including Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office. Responsibilities will include (amongst others):

  • to help develop, build and amend language assessments, including images and illustrations, in line with house style
  • offer advice on the design and layout of assessments, as well as on style and consistency
  • offer support to the publishing team in the analysis and resolution of technical issues
  • assist with the integration of new systems, software and working practices

The successful Production Designer will have experience working on educational materials with excellent organisation skills and great attention to detail, to be able to deliver materials to high quality standards, both in print and digital formats within the agreed production schedules. Strong skills in using Adobe Creative Suite, in particular InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop will be key, along with good design and technical skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
