An international not-for-profit education organisation is looking to appoint a Production Editor on a full-time, fixed-term contract of 12 months. The organisation offers curriculum and assessment globally to children and young adults in addition to professional development supporting schools and educators. This Production Editor role offers the flexibility to be based hybrid from the Cardiff offices (with visits at least once per month) and the company offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
The main remit of the Production Editor is to work amongst a team of Production Editors, Copy Editors and Designers in the development and delivery of traditional print and digital assessments. The Production Editor will have a varied role, and responsibilities will include: to coordinate teams of external and internal stakeholders in the production of high quality, error-free assessments both in print and onscreen; project manage the preparation of a diverse range of assessments in a variety of languages; and ensure the accurate production and proofing of material.
The ideal candidate will have proven editorial and / or production experience in a publishing environment, including experience of managing multiple projects within a deadline driven environment. An exceptional eye for detail and the ability to complete work accurately and consistently to a high standard will be key, as will top-notch communication skills and an excellent command of the English language.
