Production Editor

Our client is a leading international non-profit medical publisher seeking an enthusiastic team-player to join their hard-working and vibrant team as a Production Editor based in London. This role will report into the Senior Production Editor and assist with the publishing process of journals and digital content.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the publishing team in the planning and production of journals and publications

• Assisting with the launch of a new open access journal and overseeing all stages of the editing process through the online system

• Ensuring all corrections have been made accurately at each stage of the publishing process and that consistency with the house style is being respected

• Editing and uploading supplementary material across websites

• Attending meetings with Production

Ideally, the successful candidate will come from a scientific journals publishing background, but they are open to seeing candidates with B2B or academic publishing experience. A thorough understanding of the journals publishing workflow is essential for this role. Flexible and confident, you will be able to work in a small team ensuring material is precise, engaging, and relevant at every part of the editorial schedule.
