Production Editor

A prestigious scientific journals publisher based in London is looking for a Production Editor to check and confirm articles and information to be published with a high attention to detail, as well as editing scientific content in-line with house style. Experience with the journals publishing process is essential for this role as this is a brand new position due to the growth of the business.

Responsibilities will cover the following, as well as other ad hoc tasks:

• assisting with the journal handling from submission, through the peer review process, and then through to the checking of layouts and sending of final proofs.
• liaising with authors as well as those on the team who are involved in the process
• problems solving and acting as an intermediary between authors and editors regarding any issues

A degree in a biological/medical related science would be preferable, but if you've worked on STM journals before and are looking to join a close-knit team in a thriving environment, this could be a great role for you! Do get in touch for more information.
