Production Editor

We're working on a fantastic new Production Editor role working on the academic portfolio at a learned society publisher based in Bath, although they can consider hybrid or fully-remote working arrangements for this position. This role reports in the Senior Production Editor, and will have the amazing opportunity to work on both books and journals!

Key responsibilities:

• Managing the production process of assigned journals and book titles
• Ensuring publication adheres to schedule, cost and quality targets
• Uploading accepted papers onto the society's digital platform
• Checking style and consistency for books undergoing publication
• Managing production workflow via an online submission system

We are looking for candidates looking to progress their production/editorial career in scientific publishing, and who will be able to bring strong project management, problem solving and proofreading skills to this role. An interest in science would be preferred, though no STM qualification is required for this position.
