Production Editor - Journals - Fixed Term Contract

Are you available to take up this 3-month maternity cover role finishing at the end of December 2022? We have an exciting opportunity, with a global science publisher, for a Production Editor with journals experience, who has a good understanding of production workflows and content management systems.

Working with a highly experienced team, you will be coordinating and managing workflows of print (if applicable) and online scientific/medical journals to agreed deadlines.

Responsibilities include:

• Quality check editorial supplied content prior to delivery to vendor
• Coordinate the workflow of accepted content through to agreed publication deadlines
• Coordinate publication schedules for press/priority content
• Support the launch of new titles.
• Related admin duties

You will be able to prioritise and manage your own workload, will have strong attention to detail and fantastic problem-solving skills. Flexible and adaptable, you will also have a good interest in production and publishing issues.
