Production Manager

One of our top clients, a leading Educational publishing organisation, based in central London is currently recruiting for a Production Manager to join the Publishing team within their Products and Services department on a 12 month fixed-term contract.

One of the main responsibilities of this role is to manage and coordinate the programme of physical product manufacture and warehousing for the Products and Services department as well as the wider company, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that products are manufactured and delivered to schedule and to the appropriate quality standards. The job holder will also undertake line management responsibilities for at least one member of staff and build and maintain excellent relationships with manufacturers and distributors.

We are looking for someone who has a wide knowledge of the publishing industry and the processes involved in manufacture, warehousing, and distribution and who, under pressure, can work flexibly, applying pragmatism and lateral thinking to the day-to-day project management challenges of the role. The successful candidate will have a proven track record for successfully delivering multiple projects against objectives, be a natural collaborator, and possess excellent communication and inter-personal skills.

We expect this role to be required for a period of approximately 12 months.
