Production Manager (maternity cover)

A leading international trade publisher is looking for a Production Manager to ensure smooth delivery of printed and digital titles across a diverse and exciting range of genres and authors.  Please note that this is for a maternity cover contract to start ASAP.

Key duties:

• Produce high quality books and ensure titles are delivered on time and to budget
• Deliver cost effective and appropriate products whilst providing an excellent service
• Manage suppliers and vendors
• Work closely with the Production Director and the production team
• Manage the production team and deliver changes

Experience / skills required:

• Solid mono production experience managing a list of titles in trade publishing is a must
• Excellent knowledge of print manufacturing and pre-press workflows
• Experience producing illustrated 4-colour bonus and eBooks is an advantage
• Experience managing vendors and tracking costs, with a sharp eye for detail
• Outstanding organisational and communication skills
