Production Manager

A prominent independent publisher of highly illustrated non-fiction books has an exciting new role of a Production Manager. They are looking for a Production professional to manage the production of their co-edition titles. The position reports to the Managing Director. The role is full-time, permanent and offers a hybrid working pattern of 3 days a week in the London office.

The role's responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the production schedule and tracking all projects
  • Liaising with and negotiating with international suppliers as well as developing business opportunities
  • Creating costings with the sales team
  • Forecasting pricings
  • Checking all POs and production data is being logged correctly

You will be someone who is comfortable navigating Excel to a high level, has excellent negotiation and project management skills. An expert knowledge of binding processes, litho and digital as well as of working on illustrated 4-colour will be necessary. You will know the global shipping world well and you will understand printing specs for various formats.
