Production Manager

A successful publisher of non-fiction and fiction has a unique opportunity for a Production Manager to join its team. This role will be managing the print and digital workflows across the mono production and for some colour titles. In addition, you will manage the editorial schedule across two imprints. The position is full-time, permanent and offers hybrid working (2 days a week in London).

The role will involve:

· Coordinating and monitoring the production schedules and systems, up to the delivery of the finished products.

· Compiling and comparing estimates.

· Agreeing terms for colour production of a limited number of books with printers globally.

· Outsourcing the copy-editing, proofreading and typesetting of a given number of titles.

· Working closely with editorial and design teams to ensure in-house standards are met

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with production management experience within the world of non-fiction/fiction books who also has an interest in and understanding of the editorial workflow. You will need to know mono production, and some experience of colour production would be desirable. You should be able to adapt to new policies and guidelines quickly, and improve workflows. You should be numerate and have an eye for book design. Knowledge of Biblio and Adobe CC would be beneficial.

For a full description of the role, please send your CV with a brief paragraph outlining your relevant skills.

Closing Date: Early applications may be prioritised.
