Project Editor (Illustrated Books)

An amazing new opportunity has arisen a leading publisher of licensed film, TV and gaming entertainment titles for a Project Editor to work on their illustrated books list.

The main purpose of this role will be to manage the creation of titles on the client's growing list of non-fiction licensed entertainment tie-ins, from conception to publication with a focus on growing our award-winning, movie, TV and gaming lists.

You will be responsible for managing relationships with key licensors in the movie, television and gaming industries, monitoring and developing potential publishing opportunities in these areas, and for the scheduling, budgeting and quality control of your titles. Your role will also include regular departmental liaison with the design and production departments, as well as the domestic and international Sales & Marketing teams, part of which will involve giving presentations on the live title programme.

The ideal candidate will have experience making high-quality illustrated books, have strong organisational and motivational ability, outstanding written and verbal communication skills and strong numeracy. Computer literacy in InDesign, Word and Excel is vital. In addition, the candidate must have excellent editing skills, a strong eye for design, be well organised and able to set priorities under pressure. A strong interest in movie/TV/video game is desirable.
