Project Manager

Are you an experienced project manager with strong print and digital educational publishing experience? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to join a highly respected Education publisher based in central Glasgow, Scotland - easily commutable from Edinburgh.

As Project Manager you will work in a friendly, supportive team, liaising with stakeholders internally and externally to ensure the print and digital products are developed and delivered on budget, to schedule, and to specification, ensuring the highest level of quality.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Project Planning and scheduling
  • Resource planning
  • Project governance - create and maintain project documentation
  • Ensure adherence to project systems and protocols (e.g. file naming)
  • Managing internal and external stakeholders
  • Reporting status and risk
  • Tracking content streams ensuring adherence to schedules, process and budget
  • Keeping the project on schedule, raising risks and finding solutions in a timely fashion

You will demonstrate:

  • Experience of delivering complex print and digital publishing projects at both a hands-on and management level
  • Proven track record in managing complex multimedia publishing projects to successful completion to agreed deadlines
  • Experience in educational publishing or similar

The successful Project Manager for this role will have clear and proven communication skills (as they will be working with a wide range of stakeholders) and ideally also some working knowledge of Agile project management techniques. Experience of G-suite will also be useful, as would an understanding of, or experience in the K-12 education sector and / or digital education platforms, but this is not essential.
