Project Manager

We are partnering with a global publisher on finding them a Project Manager with strong technical experience and system implementation know-how to help with a variety of change projects across the business. This full-time role offers hybrid working, an excellent salary and benefits package, and is ideally looking for the person to be based 1-2 days in the company's Oxford office (this may be flexible depending on the candidate - let us know what works for you).

Working amongst a supportive and friendly global team, the purpose of the project manager role is to lead, facilitate and ensure the successful delivery of one or more change projects. These projects will generally be large business impacting changes either as part of a programme or as a stand-alone initiative. Responsibilities include (amongst others):

  • Implementation of large business impacting projects which support the continued growth and evolution of the publishing business globally
  • Stakeholder management, Delivery Optimisation and Assurance such that projects are successfully delivered in a risk aware and managed way.
  • Governance, Resource and scope management such that projects are delivered to time, cost and quality with clear and effective governance and decision frameworks in place.

The ideal Project Manager will have solid experience working as a Project Manager including demonstrable technical experience of system implementation. You will have managed projects end-to-end including the delivery of complex business projects with multiple stakeholders, engaging and influencing cross-functionally. You will be able to build and deliver business project(s) to realise one or more business outcomes in project management delivery frameworks such as Waterfall, Agile etc. The successful project manager should possess excellent presentation skills, and a PRINCE2 Practitioner / PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner / PMP is highly desirable but not essential.
