Project Manager – Higher Education Services

One of the world’s largest higher education services companies is looking for a Project Manager to join their Service Delivery team, a newly formed dynamic, fast moving team supporting their HE business, identifying, winning and delivering services and products that support teaching and learning in a blended and online environment.

Reporting to the Programme Manager, the main responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing a Project team to ensure successful delivery to time and to budget
• Using best practice PMO methodology to plan project activities
• Working closely with the internal project team, defining the project scope and deliverables
• Managing regular team meetings, liaising with internal departments when required
• Ensuring adequate resources are assigned, based on recommendations and requirements
• Maintaining accurate project plans, managing scope, tracking milestones and completion dates
• Communicating effectively to all stakeholders and project members with project updates
• Identifying and managing risk, communicating problems/issues as they arise
• Maintaining key product information in Oracle/EPM, managing budget/costs against initial P&L
• Contributing to process and procedural updates, proactively suggesting improved workflows
• Regular travel to meet with clients and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have significant project management experience, with proven ability to work collaboratively whilst leading a project team, and experience of managing multiple large/complex projects. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills and be an expert in managing budgets and tight schedules. A formal project management qualification is desirable, as is knowledge of blended or online learning environments.
