Project Manager (medical education)

A leading STM publisher based in central London is looking for a Project Manager to manage a portfolio of projects within medical education. This is a fantastic opportunity to oversee varied projects from start to finish and to join a very well-established publisher.

 

Key duties:

  • Manage a portfolio of projects ensuring they are delivered on time, to budget and according to brief
  • Drive projects and communicate clearly with stakeholders, updating status sheets and maintaining documentation
  • Organise and run medical education conferences and workshops for healthcare professionals
  • Coordinate timely payments to experts and advisors, tracking costs and invoicing
  • Ensure high standards of editorial quality, editing and proofreading medical content and clearing necessary permissions
  • Travel internationally as required

Experience / skills required:

  • Proven project management experience within STM publishing or medical communications is required
  • Outstanding organisational and time-management skills with the experience of creating schedules
  • Experience managing third party vendors
  • Excellent writing and editing skills and very good communication with the ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels
  • Broad understanding of medical education therapy areas
  • A proactive and resourceful attitude, adaptable and willing to take on new responsibilities as they arise
  • Ability to travel internationally when required
  • Experience of event management and on-site management is a bonus
