Projects Editor

A well-established healthcare publishing company is looking for a Projects Editor to join their office Buckinghamshire (commutable from London). This is a great opportunity for a life science graduate or equivalent to take the editorial lead on projects and proofread, write and subedit copy. The successful candidate will have some experience in medical publishing ideally.

 

Key duties:

  • Proofread, subedit and copy-write content for all types of project and ensure it is accurate
  • Write copy such as author briefs, sponsored emails, etc.
  • Take the editorial lead on variety of projects such as email alerts, webinars, resource centres, supplements, etc.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, colleagues, freelancers and contributors ensuring deadlines are met

Experience / skills required:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a life science subject
  • Some experience in medical communications or publications
  • Excellent proofreading and subediting skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong time management and organisation skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Solid communication both written and verbal
  • Experience of online publishing would be a bonus
