Publications Assistant

Circa. £22,000 per annum

12-month Fixed Term Contract

The British Academy - the UK’s national Academy for the humanities and social sciences - is seeking a Publications Assistant to help build our profile and increase public awareness of the value and importance of the humanities and social sciences.

You will assist with the timely delivery of British Academy publications in the humanities and social sciences, providing assistance from receipt of book proposal, through to print and online publication.

You will be highly organised and demonstrate strong attention to detail. Ideally, you will have experience working in an academic publishing background with an understanding of either editorial or production processes in either books or journals.

This is an exciting opportunity for a multi-tasker looking for a responsible and challenging role in academic publishing.

The Academy offers 42 days’ annual holiday including 8 bank holidays, excellent benefits including a defined benefit pension scheme, and one of the best locations in London.
